User Data Deletion

User Data Deletion — CSS Forum

Last updated: 04 Oct 2025
Applies to: users who sign up or sign in to https://cssforum.net with Facebook Login or with email/password.

1) What data we hold

When you use Facebook Login, we receive only the basic profile fields needed to create your forum account:

  • Full name

  • Email address

  • Facebook user ID (for login linkage only)

  • Public profile photo/URL (if provided)

We do not request sensitive or extended permissions (e.g., friends, gender, birthday).

2) How to delete your data

Option A — Remove the App from Facebook (recommended)

  1. Open FacebookSettings & privacySettings.

  2. Go to Apps and Websites (sometimes shown as Logged in with Facebook).

  3. Find “CSS Forum” → select it → click Remove.

  4. Choose to delete posts and activity made by the app (optional) → Confirm.

When you remove the app, Facebook notifies us. We then anonymize or delete your linked forum account and associated personal data.

Option B — Request deletion from CSS Forum

If you prefer or cannot complete Option A, submit a request:

  • Use our contact form: https://cssforum.net/contact-us/

  • Subject: User Data Deletion Request

  • Include: your forum username, the email tied to your account, and (if applicable) your Facebook profile URL.

We will verify ownership and proceed with deletion.

3) What is deleted

Upon a valid request or app removal, we will delete or irreversibly anonymize:

  • Account profile (name, email, Facebook UID, avatar URL)

  • Login tokens and session data

Content you posted on public threads (e.g., messages, replies) may remain to preserve discussion history, but it will be disassociated from your identity (shown as “Deleted User” or similar). If you need specific posts removed, mention the links in your request.

4) Processing timelines

  • Acknowledgment: within 48 hours

  • Deletion completion: within 30 days

  • Backups: securely overwritten during routine cycles within 90 days

5) Identity verification

To protect users, we may request a confirmation reply from the email on file or a short verification step if you contact us from a different address.

6) Retention disclosures

We keep minimal records necessary to meet legal, security, and anti-abuse obligations (e.g., server logs) and purge them on a rolling schedule. We do not sell personal data.

7) Questions

If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us via the form above. We will respond promptly and handle your request in line with Facebook Platform terms and applicable law.
